MONDAY: Skies turn mainly sunny through the remainder of the day - expect temperatures to rebound to the 40s; but feel like the 30s all day with occasional gusts to 25-30 mph possible. Winds will tend to subside overnight – but the cold will settle in. A hard freeze is likely with lows deep into the 20s; the coldest we’ve seen since late January. Make sure to take care of your cold weather precautions to keep you, your family and your pets safe.
TUESDAY: A frigid start will give way to a chilly afternoon in the lower to middle 50s; well-below average for the start of December. Expect mostly sunny skies through the day amid a calmer wind situation so we won’t add insult to injury like Monday. Another hard freeze will come through into early Wednesday as lows drop into the 20s again.
EXTENDED FORECAST: Sunshine will give way to clouds and a few shower chances by late Wednesday into Thursday as a developing system sneaks over the area. Rain chances will remain elevated Thursday with highs in the 50s. Skies will gradually clear into Friday and the upcoming weekend, but cooler than average temperatures will remain with highs in the 50s and lows near freezing.
