SATURDAY: Delta’s expansive wind field continues to provide gusty breezes through the remainder of the day. Expect gusts of 30-40 mph through mid-day, back to 25-35 mph this afternoon. Occasional rain showers will continue pivot through the area amid occasional sun breaks as drier air filters in from the southwest. Temperatures will hold steady in the 70s. Clouds and a few showers continue to pinwheel over the area – near and north of I-20 overnight with lows in the upper 60s and lower 70s.
SUNDAY: Clouds will gradually break for periods of sun through the afternoon hours as Delta’s broad circulation begins to move farther away. Highs will top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s amid a chance for a morning shower or two.
EXTENDED FORECAST: A front will slip through the region early in the week – ahead of it, highs will top out in the middle to upper 80s Monday – behind the front, highs in the upper 70s and lower 80s return through mid-week. Another opportunity for scattered showers may emerge by the end of the week.
