Rain should exit through Thursday afternoon – but the colder air will continue to funnel in. After sunset, for Trick or Treaters, brace for wind chills in the 30s. Lows will drop into the middle 30s by early Friday under clear skies.
FRIDAY: Bundle up as you head out the door Friday morning - temperatures will be in the 30s to start the day off, slowly working into the middle 50s by the afternoon hours amid sunshine. The afternoon highs will be more reminiscent of New Years Day, not November 1st. Lows will fall into the middle to upper 30s. Patchy frost will be possible early Saturday morning.
EXTENDED FORECAST: A weak, dry front will usher another push of cool air late Saturday amid a mix of sun and clouds. Highs likely stay in the 50s to near 60°. Sunshine returns Sunday as we work our way past the morning 30s into the lower 60s by afternoon. Another disturbance will kick up clouds to start the week off with highs in the lower to middle 60s, eventually nearing 70° for some by Election Day Tuesday. A few showers will be possible early next week.

Stormy Periods Wednesday; Bone Chilling Halloween
WEDNESDAY: Umbrellas will be needed at times through your Wednesday as moisture begins to stream into the region ahead of our next weather maker. Expect scattered showers and storms at times amid temperatures warming into the middle to upper 70s. A gusty storm or two can’t ruled out during the day; though, the better chances for stronger storms will hold off until Wednesday into early Thursday. Strong winds and spin-up tornado threat can’t be ruled out ahead of the front.

Quiet Tuesday, Rain, Storms Return Wednesday
TUESDAY: Fog and mist will be around in patches to start the day off – gradually lifting giving way to a mix of clouds and sun through the day. Expect temperatures to stay in the lower to middle 70s – all dependent on how long the clouds stick around during the day. Clouds will thicken again overnight ahead of our next weather maker. Lows will drop into the middle to upper 60s.
WEDNESDAY: Keep the umbrellas handy as our next, sluggish moving, storm system makes its presence known. Expect showers and storms throughout the day; a gusty storm can’t be ruled out. Temperatures will hang into the middle to upper 70s.
EXTENDED FORECAST: Rain showers will continue through your Thursday, but gradually, rain will taper off through Halloween evening. If you have ‘trick-or-treat’ plans Thursday night, don’t be surprised if there are a few lingering showers, but the bulk of the rain will be exiting. Temperatures will crash through the day though, starting near 70°, falling into the 50s by the afternoon. Sunshine will return amid the coolest air this season, possible giving way to the first frost of Autumn 2019 as we drop into the 30s by early Friday. Highs will top out in the 50s Friday and Saturday, 60s return by Sunday and early next week.

Cool, Sunny Tuesday; Showers Loom By Week's End
TUESDAY: High pressure will quickly build in after the cold front moves through. Sunshine will win out as temperatures make only manage the upper 60s and lower 70s through the afternoon. We’ll fall into the 40s by early Wednesday under clear skies and calm winds.
WEDNESDAY: After a chilly start to the day, expect sunshine to be the rule of the day. That will help us shake the morning chill off, from the 40s to the lower 70s by the afternoon hours.
EXTENDED FORECAST: Gradually, high pressure will begin to move farther to the east through the latter half of the week. Highs will run in the lower to middle 70s by Thursday. Our next system will begin to move into the region by Friday, bringing a bout of off and on showers and storms. Severe weather isn’t anticipated at this point. Temperatures will fall back into the 60s for highs Friday and into the weekend Saturday. Shower chances will hang around through Sunday and Monday as highs attempt to rebound into the lower 70s.

ALERT DAY: Strong Storms Possible Monday
ALERT DAY MONDAY: The day will start off quiet but will likely begin to get bumpy as showers and storms approach from the west along a strong cold front. The storms could become strong to severe with the potential of strong winds, hail and short-lived spin-up tornadoes. STAY WEATHER AWARE LATE THIS MORNING THROUGH THIS AFTERNOON. Before the storms, expect warm temperatures and breezy southerly winds – highs will top out in the upper 70s and lower 80s. Most of the storms will exit to the east by sunset Monday. Behind that, we’ll see gradual clearing and cooler air filtering back into the region overnight, dropping into the 50s.

Filtered Sunshine Thursday; Eyes On The Gulf
THURSDAY: High pressure will nudge its way over the region through Thursday. Sunshine will mixing with high clouds help shake off the chill by afternoon. Highs will work their way from the morning 40s to the upper 60s and lower 70s. We’ll drop back into the 40s to near 50° overnight under partly clear skies.
FRIDAY: Moisture will begin to sneak back into the skies as high pressure edges farther east, away from central Mississippi. Expect more clouds in the skies, though we’ll remain mostly dry through the day. A shower or two could sneak in by the latter half of the day. Highs will work their way into the lower to middle 70s. Clouds will continue to thicken overnight with a chance for a shower or two amid lows in the middle to upper 50s.
EXTENDED FORECAST: By the weekend, a weak disturbance will push across the region, coupled with an increase in moisture from the Gulf, will bring push farther east – keeping the majority of the rain to our south and east. A weak front will push that system east quickly Sunday. Highs will top out in the 70s to near 80. Another front will approach the region by Monday and early Tuesday, bringing another threat of heavy rain and storms. With that, the possibility for a few strong to severe storms can’t be ruled out late Monday.
