TUESDAY: The summer heat and humidity continue to hang on across the region through the day. Expect a mix of sun and clouds as highs soar to the upper 80s and lower 90s this afternoon. Humidity levels will push feels like temperatures well into the 90s this afternoon. Overnight, staying warm and muggy – clouds will thicken a bit as lows drop to the 70s.
WEDNESDAY: The remnants of storm system will approach the area bringing a chance for a few showers and storms through the day. Outside of that, expect partly sunny skies with highs pushing their way to near 90°.
EXTENDED FORECAST: A expansive ridge of high pressure in the upper levels will move over the southeast, keeping substantial rain chances away through the remainder of the work week and into the upcoming holiday weekend. This will also push temperatures deeper into the 90s amid July and August humidity levels – making feels like temperatures near 100° at times.
