THURSDAY: After early Thursday clouds, expect mostly sunny skies with highs pushing into the lower 90s by the afternoon hours. Feels like temperatures will approach the upper 90s. Overnight, skies will clear for a bit before another batch of clouds and fog attempts to develop prior to sunrise. Lows will fall to the upper 60s and lower 70s.
FRIDAY: After morning clouds break, expect another round of hot, summery sunshine to take us round out the work and school week. Highs will work their way back into the lower 90s, feeling like the upper 90s, thanks to the humidity.
EXTENDED FORECAST: An expansive ridge of high pressure will move over the southeast, keeping substantial rain chances away into the Memorial Day holiday weekend. This will also push temperatures deeper into the 90s amid July and August humidity levels – making feels like temperatures near 100° at times. The ridge may hold firm, with its heat and humidity, through mid-next week.
