THURSDAY: The heat will continue to crank up through the day. Expect a mix of sun and clouds with ah few storms possible. Temperatures will work their way into the lower and middle 90s. Feels like temperatures will push toward 104-110°. Lows will drop into the middle 70s with a chance for a few storms overnight.
FRIDAY: The heat wave will begin to crank up across the region with highs making moves into the middle and upper 90s. With the combination of high heat and humidity – expect 'feels like temperatures' to crest near or just above 110° for a few hours Friday afternoon. Showers and storms will be harder to come by to round out the work week.
WEEKEND AND BEYOND: The heat wave will likely continue straight through the weekend ahead; expect highs in the middle and upper 90s – though heat index values will likely crest near or above 110°. Rain chances to cool off will be slim, even into the early portions of next week. Rain chances may increase by the end of the next work week as the ridge begins to break down.
