FRIDAY: Yet another day featuring a 3 H special – hot, humid and hazy weather to be expected. Expect mostly to partly sunny skies with highs pushing the middle 90s; feels like temperatures between 105-110°. Today will feature a slightly better chance of cooling afternoon and evening storms. Most of the storms will wane after midnight as lows drop into the 70s.
WEEKEND PLANNER: The summer heat and humidity will remain into the upcoming weekend. Expect a mix of sunshine and clouds each day with highs in the lower and middle 90s; feels like temperatures running between 105-110°. Scattered afternoon downpours will be possible; but don't expect a washout, though, be ready to head inside as the thunder roars.
EXTENDED RANGE: A weak flow pattern overhead will keep the weather stagnant. Onshore flow, coupled with the daytime heating and a waning high pressure ridge to the east will help to spark daily scattered storm chances. Temperatures will likely remain toasty – in the lower 90s with lows in the lower and middle 70s. This will likely a yield a ‘typical’ July 4th holiday for most; some of us dodging afternoon storms, while others may be dry and hot.
