Yet another steamy Summer weekend in Mississippi; temperatures reach the middle 90s with heat index values between 102 and 108. Hit and miss storms develop both days; while we're not expecting an all day type of rain, storms will have the potential to produce heavy downpours and frequent lightning.
No significant changes through Independence Day. Scattered, mainly afternoon storms develop on a daily basis with highs in the 90s and lows in the 70s. Although, we are tracking a weak disturbance that will scoot along the Gulf Coast early next week which will enhance our ran/storm coverage a bit especially over the southern half of Mississippi.
