Very hot through Saturday, but some relief is possible by Sunday... The warming trend continues Friday with highs in the low to middle 90s and heat index values between 98 and 102. A few isolated storms are possible during the afternoon.
Saturday will be the hottest of the week; soaring to the middle 90s, and due to the humidity it will feel as hot as 107. Scattered storms increase Saturday evening into Sunday morning in advance of a cold front. We're not expecting a washout, but any storm that does develop will be capable of producing gusty wind, heavy rain, large hail, and frequent lightning. Behind the front, slightly cooler and noticeably drier air blows in during the day Sunday, which will decrease our humidity levels into next week.
