Isolated strong storms are popping this afternoon into early evening. While it will not rain everywhere, any storm that develops will have the potential to produce heavy rain, gusty wind, hail, and frequent lightning.
Just plain ol hot for the remainder of this week and into the weekend; highs soar into the 90s with heat indices between 98 and 103. A passing storm is possible each afternoon through Saturday followed by a better opportunity for scattered storms on Sunday as weak front arrives. Depending on the southern extent of the front, slightly cooler and less humid weather is possible early next week.
