MEMORIAL DAY MONDAY: Expect more of the same to start off the week; for many who will still be off work, enjoy it. A mix of sun and clouds with a chance for afternoon downpours – temperatures will manage the upper 80s. We’ll keep mention of a few showers into Monday evening – lows will fall back to the upper 60s and lower 70s.
TUESDAY: As many head back to work, the umbrellas may be needed at times. Alberto will be moving inland, east of the state, but will have enough of an influence to bring a few bands of rain to the region. Highs, under variably cloudy skies, will top out in the middle to upper 80s.
MID-LATE WEEK: After Alberto lifts out of the region, a pattern shift will bring warmer temperatures, yet continued chances for storms to dive into the region from the northwest almost daily as a ridge of high pressure builds just to our west. Highs will make their way into the lower and middle 90s, but feeling much hotter than that with heat indices likely above 100° for several days.
