FRIDAY: A warm front will make progress, pushing north through the day; with it, expect an increase in clouds and the option for scattered showers to return through Friday. Expect temperatures to work their way in the lower and middle 60s. Warm air flowing in from the south will keep temperatures bolstered, in the upper 50s through Friday night amid the chance for showers.
RAINY WEEKEND: An active pattern will take hold across the region, bringing periods of showers and storms to the are throughout much of the weekend. Be ready for nearly a complete washout. Expect temperatures to make a run for 70° both days, despite the rain. Rain showers will continue Saturday night, into Sunday; a few of the showers and storms during this time could be strong with gusty winds being the primary threat. A cold front will push southward later Sunday, ushering in the 60s, before tumbling through the day into the 50s late. Before the weekend is done, we may pick up an additional 1 – 3” of rain. slightly cooler air to start off next week.
UNSETTLED NEXT WEEK: The overall pattern will stay the same, bringing periods of rain to the region through much of the upcoming work and school week. Each day will feature at least the option for showers and storms. Highs Monday will likely be the coolest, in the upper 50s and lower 60s, though mild temperatures will generally be the rule through much of the week. Expect highs Tuesday through Thursday to be in the 70s. Expect upper 50s and lower 60s Monday, giving way to the upper 60s and lower 70s by Tuesday and continuing through Friday. By the end of the work week, it is possible we could end up with 2 - 4” of rain.
