TUESDAY: Grab a jacket as you head out the door; 20s and 30s will only fight their way so far – to the upper 40s and lower 50s by the afternoon hours under sunshine and a light northeast breeze. Winds will fall off overnight, so will the temperatures – falling into the 20s and to around 30 by Wednesday morning.
WEDNESDAY: Be ready to step out to fairly cold air to start off Wednesday but as high pressure builds farther off to the east – expect a quick turn-around in temperatures. Southeast breezes and sunshine will push highs into the lower and middle 60s by the afternoon hours. We’ll stay mild into Thursday morning ahead of our next weather maker – waking up to temperatures in the 40s.
LATE WEEK: A cold front will be poised to move into the region for late Thursday and early Friday. Out ahead of it – partly sunny skies and an aggressive southerly wind will push highs into the middle and upper 60s. Rain chances will increase through late parts of Thursday – continuing into the early morning hours of Friday. Behind the front, we’ll run in the lower 50s for highs for Friday amid mostly cloudy skies.
WEEKEND AND BEYOND: Saturday will stay mainly uneventful with rain chances holding off until the end of the day – temperatures will run in the 50s through the afternoon. Our next big weather maker will come in the form of another cold front approaching from the north along with a disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico – just in time for Super Bowl Sunday. There is a degree of uncertainty on how this will evolve as it moves through. We’ll monitor it over the next few days; we’ll turn dry and brighter again to start off the next work week.
