A minimal severe threat continues in South Mississippi this afternoon in advance of a cold front. All of us in Central and South Mississippi will deal with periods of moderate to heavy rain through this afternoon in advance of a cold front; on average, we're expecting 2-3 inches with locally higher amounts and the possibility for some flash flooding. The main area of rain moves out late this afternoon and early evening, followed by a few lingering showers tonight. Behind the front, gradual clearing and much cooler. Temperatures hold in the upper 60s and low 70s Monday. A shot of even cooler air arrives Tuesday into Wednesday, knocking highs down into the 60s and lows in the 40s!
