Harvey is still a tropical storm causing devastating flooding in SE Texas, in and around the city of Houston. Please do not travel in that direction. Many roads are impassible in that part of Texas. Additional rainfall will continue adding to the problem with 15 to 20+ inches likely through midweek. For Mississippi, nothing like the ongoing problems in Texas, but we are dealing with an increase in rain, with the potential for localized flash flooding in South Mississippi where a flash flood watch has been issued through Thursday. On average, we're expecting 3 to 6 inches in Central and South Mississippi over the next 4 to 6 days. Rain coverage will continue to increase, leading to periods of rain and storms throughout this week and likely into the weekend.
