REST OF THURSDAY: Scattered to numerous downpours will continue to be on the menu through the remainder of today. Localized flooding is a concern again, with any slow-moving storm. Highs will generally top out in the 80s. Storm chances will diminish overnight, though we'll maintain a chance with lows in the middle 70s.
FRIDAY: Expect more of the same to round out the work week – a few showers in the morning, gradually growing to a scattered to, at times, numerous coverage around central Mississippi. Expect sun peeks amid variably cloudy skies – highs will top out in the upper 80s. Locally heavy downpours could lead to flooding concerns.
ACTIVE PATTERN CONTINUES: Another front will attempt to drop into the region through the weekend, but it too, will stall out over the region, keeping the weather pattern unsettled and active. All of this, coupled with copious amounts of moisture in the atmosphere will keep rain chances elevated, right into next week. Expect highs to run in the upper 80s to near 90 – overnights in the middle 70s.
TROPICS: Franklin has made its way inland from the central Mexican coastline and will continue to degenerate as it pushes westward. We are still keeping an eye on a disturbance nearing the Leeward Islands that has a chance to develop over the coming days as it moves between the southeast coast and Bermuda.
