As of 6am, Harvey has weakened and is now a Category 1 hurricane with 85 mph winds, located north of Corpus Christi, TX. The major concern will now transition to flooding with the potential for up to 50 inches in parts of SE Texas through midweek. For us in Mississippi, no significant problems from Harvey. However, moisture is increasing from the south, bringing clouds and scattered showers this morning into the afternoon. Otherwise, cooler than average with highs in the 80s and lows in the upper 60s to near 70. Rain chances increase throughout the week as moisture related to Harvey surges north.
