Hot and steamy weather continues for Father's Day... Highs reach the upper 80s to near 90 along with some hit and miss storms. Any storm that develops will be capable of producing gusty wind, heavy rain, and frequent lightning. We can't rule out the possibility for a few severe storms due to damaging wind.
Another round of showers and storms develops Monday, followed by decreasing rain chances BY midweek as drier air arrives.
In the tropics, we are tracking a system in the Northwest Caribbean that could become a Depression or even a tropical storm with the next 24 to 48 hours. Still uncertainty regarding the exact track and intensity, but the system has the potential to impact the Gulf Coast by midweek. Also, a second wave, located in the Atlantic is heading west. Once again, track and intensity is in question. We'll keep you posted over the coming days, so please check back for updates.
