TONIGHT: Expect clouds to break up after sunset with a small chance of a shower before 8 p.m.; overnight lows will drop to near 60. There could be a few spots of fog by early Saturday morning, outside of that, partly cloudy skies.
SATURDAY: Our stout ridge of high pressure will begin to show signs of weakening through late Saturday, bringing slightly cooler temperatures. Expect highs in the lower and middle 80s with a chance for an afternoon shower or storm; mainly in southwest MS. Partly cloudy skies will take us into early Sunday morning with lows in the lower 60s.
EASTER SUNDAY: Sunrise services (sunrise in Jackson Sunday is at 6:30 a.m.) will be quiet with temperatures in the lower 60s amid partly cloudy skies. Have the umbrellas handy in the car as a scattering of showers and storms will be possible by the afternoon hours. It won't rain all day, nor in every locations, but have alternative plans in place in the event you find yourself under a downpour. Highs will be in the lower 80s.
NEXT WEEK: The upper ridge will continue to break down slightly for Monday, bringing an increased threat for showers and storms to be scattered about. The ridge re-establishes itself through the mid-portion of the week, taking rain chances back down and pushing highs in the middle and upper 80s once again.
