FRIDAY: Expect cloudy and muggy start to your Friday across the region. . A warm front will press northward over the area through the day – this may spark a few showers; clouds will break for some sun with highs in the middle to upper 80s. Winds will also be quite aggressive – between 15 – 25 mph; with some gusts to 35 mph possible.
WEEKEND THOUGHTS: With the warm front well north of the area by Saturday – expect hit and miss storms and a breezy afternoon with highs nearing 90°. This will be ahead of our next storm system that could bring a chance for a few strong and severe storms in addition to heavy downpours that could lead to some localized flooding. Sunday will likely be a washout across the entire area with highs near 80. Storms will come to an end through the event hours, with cooler and drier air pushing in by Monday morning.
NEXT WEEK: Expect a cool Monday with highs in the lower 70s and a nice refreshing air mass with low humidity and sunshine to start off the new work week. Moisture begins to increase into Tuesday afternoon – after starting off in the upper 40s to near 50, we'll top out in the lower 80s. Storm chances begin to increase by Wednesday and Thursday with a stalled front nearby the area.
