Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5 inches in diameter possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Severe thunderstorms will continue to increase from northeast Louisiana and central Mississippi into western and northern Alabama. Steep lapse rates and moderate vertical shear will support the potential for well-organized storms including supercells capable of large hail, damaging winds and possibly a tornado (mainly across northern Alabama). The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles north and south of a line from 30 miles northeast of Gadsden AL to 50 miles south southwest of Greenville MS.
