Cooler this morning with areas of fog. Temperatures are starting out in the upper 40s to low 50s, and due to sufficient moisture levels and little wind, conditions are favorable for fog to become dense in spots; take it easy if you're out early. Warming quickly today; despite the cool morning, we soar into the upper 70s to near 80 degrees this afternoon under a mix of sun and clouds. Cloud coverage is more extensive in Southwest Mississippi; a brief shower is possible there, but most locations remain dry.
Spring officially begins Monday and it certainly will feel like it as highs soar into the middle 80s. Warm weather continues through the end of next week. Our next major storm system arrives Friday or Saturday. Still too early to get specific, but we'll need to mention the possibility for some strong to severe storms. Stay with us throughout the week for updates. In the mean time, enjoy this spring weather!
