REST OF FRIDAY: Temperatures have stalled in the 60s ahead of a quick and weak system that will bring a bout of showers and storms to the region this evening and tonight. Overnight; lows will drop to the 50s.
SATURDAY: Clouds and some showers will linger through early Saturday morning – by the afternoon, clouds will break for sun, allowing for temperatures to make a break for the lower and middle 70s. Saturday night will feature partly clear skies with lows in the 50s; patches of fog may develop by early Sunday.
SUNDAY / MONDAY: After any areas of fog lift; expect mostly sunny skies and near record highs – many spots will push through 80°, if not surpass it. Monday will also push the envelope with warm temperatures – nearing records again, though chances for showers and storms will be on the increase by late in the day.
NEXT WEEK: A new disturbance will begin to enter the region by Tuesday and Wednesday, bringing an uptick in showers and storms with warm temperatures in the 70s. Behind it, a lull for Thursday – bringing partly sunny skies and highs close to 80 again. We'll stay warm into Friday ahead of a cold front that will try to push temperatures down by next weekend.
