Feeling cool in Mississippi for a change; temperatures reached the low 60s this afternoon in most spots, which is near average for late February. A cold night ahead as lows fall into the low and middle 30s; points north of I-20 stand the best chance for a light freeze. As a precaution, it would be a good idea to bring in any sensitive plants.
For Sunday, lots of sunshine, breezy, and a bit warmer with afternoon temperatures in the middle and upper 60s.
Showers and storms increase next week, including the potential for some strong to possibly severe storms. Otherwise, unseasonably warm weather returns through the first half of next week.
