After a rough weekend across Mississippi, much improving and calmer weather ahead this week. Temperatures are seasonably cool this afternoon with highs near 60. A quick warming trend begins Tuesday leading to afternoon temperatures near 70 into Wednesday. A brief round of showers and a few storms arrives Wednesday in advance of a cold front; fortunately, severe weather is not expected.
Cooler air returns for the second half of this week with highs in the 50s and lows in the 30s. Otherwise, we remain dry through the weekend.
Longer term, an overall colder pattern sets up for the end of this month and the beginning of February. We are not done with Winter just yet!
