A clear, cold winter like afternoon... Temperatures are below average today as highs struggle to reach the upper 40s. Fortunately, we stay dry, although clouds will begin increasing this evening and tonight as moisture returns in advance of a system that will bring changes this weekend.
A few showers are possible Friday, but nothing widespread. Temperatures soar into the upper 70s and even a few low 80s during the day Saturday, followed by a round of storms Saturday night. A line of storms will move across the state, bringing heavy rain and the potential for gusty wind. The severe threat is low, but we can't rule out some warnings due to the wind threat. Turning sharply colder Sunday; temperatures plummet into the 30s and 40s along with an icy north wind.
