A very pleasant afternoon, but changes are ahead before Thanksgiving... Temperatures reach the middle 70s along with lots of sunshine. Clouds increase tonight in advance of a cold front that will bring a round of rain into the state beginning Wednesday morning in West Mississippi, then Central & South Mississippi by late morning and early afternoon. Rainfall totals will generally remain light, but some isolated spots could pick up more than 1 half inch. On average, we're expecting totals between 2 tenths and 4 tenths of an inch. Clearing and pleasant for Thanksgiving with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s. Slightly cooler air arrives this weekend, dropping afternoon temperatures into the 60s and morning lows in the 30s.
Longer term, a storm system arrives early next week, bringing the potential for heavy rain and some strong storms; still too early to get specific, but we'll keep you posted.
