Big changes ahead, beginning today!... A cold front is moving into Mississippi today, kicking off a round of much needed showers and storms.
Rain/storms increase from northwest to southeast throughout the afternoon; the primary time frame is from mid afternoon until early evening. A few strong storms are possible, but the severe threat is minimal. On average, rainfall totals remain less than 1 half inch.
Sharply cooler air arrives behind the front, dropping temperatures to the 50s by morning, followed by perfect fall weather Friday into the weekend with highs in the 70s, lows in the 40s along with lots of sunshine and low humidity!
