More Summer steam ahead... Another roasting hot day with highs in the middle to upper 90s and heat indices between 100 and 110. A few hit and miss showers are possible, but the chance for rain and any given location is low. Showers and storms increase in coverage a bit for the end of this week and the weekend; but still, only on a scattered basis.
Earl is strengthening and could become hurricane this afternoon before making landfall near Belize tonight or early Thursday morning. We are not expecting any problems in Mississippi or the U.S. Gulf of Mexico.
