Counties shaded in pink are under a Severe Thunderstorm Watch until 3pm today (Wednesday). Storms move from west to east, arriving first to the Mississippi river towns by the late morning. Storms are expected to be over the I-55 corridor by midday. The severe weather threat ends in the mid and late afternoon, although a few pop up showers and thunderstorms are possible in the evening.
The biggest concerns with the storms that pass through will be gusty winds, heavy downpours, and possible hail. The tornado threat is minimal.
A few spotty storms will be around on Thursday and Friday. Temperatures remain warm and muggy in the mid 80s.
