Showers end this evening, then a stronger system arrives Tuesday...
The weather situation becomes more serious tomorrow; a strong storm system will bring the risk for severe weather, including the potential for damaging straight line wind, large hail, & tornadoes. Conditions will be most favorable in South Mississippi (red area), due to a combination higher instability along with impressive upper level dynamics. For the I-20 corridor & northeast along the Natchez Trace Parkway (orange area), conditions are less favorable, but certainly sufficient enough to support some strong to severe storms.
The primary time frame for severe storms is between 2pm and 9pm. Of course we'll keep you posted so make sure you stick with us. Much improving weather for the second half of this week, although a bit cooler through Friday.
