Julia Weiden's Wednesday Forecast
THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT HAS ENDED IN CENTRAL MISSISSIPPI!
AM Commute: There is NOT any severe weather this morning, but the rain is still falling steadily along and east of the I-55 corridor. Due to the heavy rainfall amounts last night (2-5" across central Mississippi) there is likely some ponding on the roads. Use extra caution to avoid hydroplaning. If you come across flooding, turn around and find a different route! Temperatures are in the upper 50s.
This Afternoon: Clearing continues to spread from west to east and all are dry by midday. The sun comes out and temperatures reach the mid and high 60s! It's going to be a gorgeous afternoon with lighter winds out of the south at 5-10 mph.
Next Several Days: Thursday and Friday will be stunning, seasonable days. Both days will reach the mid and upper 60s with sunshine. Overnight lows will be in the low and mid 40s. The weekend will be MUCH cooler with highs only in the mid and upper 50s! We could see our first frost in central MS on Saturday night/early Sunday AM as temps dip into the mid 30s. No rain is expected.
