Julia Weiden's First Alert Monday Forecast
AM Commute: If you're headed to the Delta or to anywhere north or west of the Jackson metro, you have a slightly greater chance of running into some rain and thunder. Showers are spotty in that region through the morning. Otherwise it's got a really muggy feel with temperatures in the 70s! The sun is up at 6:30 AM. We'll be in the low 80s by 9 AM.
This Afternoon: A cold front is passing through- that means great changes are ahead! Today is a transitional day though. It will be warm and humid with highs in the low 90s. A few spotty showers are possible along and south of I-20, some storms becoming strong to severe. Fortunately any storms will be few and far between and most will just see a mix of sun and clouds.
Tonight: The changes to our weather really start to take hold late tonight as the humidity drops and the skies clear out. By Tuesday at daybreak we'll be in the mid 60s with a comfortable feel!
Rest of the Week: Tuesday through Friday will be in the upper 80s and low 90s with low humidity and lots of sun! The humidity does look to nudge back up over the weekend, but for now there aren't any rain chances.
TROPICS: Tropical Storm Danny continues to impact the Windward Islands. Right now it's expected to graze by Puerto Rico as it downgrades to a Tropical Depression by early Wednesday morning. There's another system off of Cape Verde that will likely become tropical over the next two days. We'll update you as that happens.
