**A Heat Advisory is in effect for many central MS counties until 7pm today.**
AM Commute: Expect repeat conditions! Skies are hazy with an added gauzy, thin layer of clouds that are nearby due to a front stalled to our northwest. The morning is a muggy one with temperatures in the low and mid 80s during the drive to work.
This Afternoon: The chance for rain and storms is slightly greater, especially for anyone north of I-20. The aforementioned front dips down to the Highway 82 corridor, and the closer you are to that area, the more likely it is you'll see rain and thunder develop. Highs are in the mid and upper 90s with a heat index of 105-110° for most of central MS.
Tonight: What's left of any storms will quiet down and the overnight will be partly cloudy with temperatures in the mid 70s.
Rest of the Week: Thursday will feature the same threat for rain and thunder, mainly north of Jackson. By Friday the front starts lifting a bit to the northeast, so the greatest rain chances slide away from us. The heat and humidity continue with highs in the mid and high 90s.
