Julia Weiden's First Alert Thursday Forecast
**A Heat Advisory is in effect for much of central Mississippi today until 7pm, where temperatures will feel as hot as 110°. An Excessive Heat Warning is in effect for Warren, Issaquena, and Sharkey Counties until 7pm, where temperatures will feel as hot as 115°.
AM Commute: The sun comes up at 6:14 this morning. Most stay dry, but a few showers have creeped onto the radar this morning! Otherwise it's muggy and hazy with temperatures in the 80s from 8-9AM.
This Afternoon: A cold front swings through today, causing some changes to our weather pattern! Starting near lunch time at noon we'll have some storms developing. A few could have torrential downpours and gusty winds. This will mostly be near the I-20 corridor and farther south during the mid afternoon hours. Showers and storms will only be spotty to scattered in nature, so not everyone will get wet. Activity will wind down during the evening.
Temperatures today will again be very hot and humid with highs in the upper 90s. Some could even come to near 100°, like in Warren, Sharkey, and Issaquena Counties.
Weekend Ahead: Starting Friday, the humidity will back off. Temperatures will still be very high in the mid and upper 90s, but the air will have a drier feel to it. That goes for Saturday and Sunday as well.
