(5.20.2015) Good Wednesday morning! We're really settling into this very spring/summer-like pattern nicely. A stretch of mid 80s is ahead of us with chances for rain and thunder pretty much every day. That said, the dynamics of each day are slightly different on the weather map each day.
Today, for example, we're watching as a front that stalled out over the northern portion of Mississippi last night lifts northward toward Tennessee. That means for the first half of the day we'll have southern winds bringing in plenty of warmth and moisture, making for a seasonably humid feeling day.
Clouds will be increasing through today. That's because as the warm front exits to the northeast, a cold front simultaneously approaches from the northwest. It should be in the northwest corner of the state by this evening. We'll have some showers and storms developing out ahead of the cold front, meaning that during our afternoon and evening hours we could get periods of wet weather passing through. That cold front continues pushing southward through Thursday, allowing showers and storms to occasionally occur during the day. This will be a tad more likely in the southern portion of the state.
More of the same is expected through the weekend! Mid 80s with slight chances for showers. Enjoy!
I don't like thunderstorms
