Our wet week rolls along...
Temperatures continue to rise while rain persistently falls. Due to a warm, moist flow from the Gulf of Mexico, temperatures steadily warmed last night and will continue doing so today as highs reach the low to middle 70s. Rain will continue at times, and with warmer air in place, some storms will also develop today; while widespread severe weather is unlikely, any storm that does develop will be capable of producing strong straight line wind, and tropical-like downpours with the potential for localized flash flooding. The pattern remains the same through the end of the week: Mild, wet, and stormy; we're expecting rainfall totals for the week to reach the 3 to 5 inch range by Friday.
The news isn't all bad because dry and brighter weather returns in time for the weekend.
