After a brief warming trend, much colder air is blowing in once again...
A cold front moved through last night, delivering the second cold blast of the week. As the cold air continues to move in, temperatures hold in the upper 40s to near 50 all afternoon, and with an icy north wind it will feel even colder. Fortunately, the clouds will clear, allowing sunshine to return. For tonight, with a clear sky and decreasing wind temperatures will drop quickly; morning lows fall into the upper 20s, which is about 10 degrees below average for early February.
We have much better news for the weekend! As promised, a warming trend begins tomorrow as afternoon highs return to the mid to upper 50s. Saturday morning will be cold with lows in the 30s, then afternoon highs soar into the upper 60s under lots of sunshine. Believe it or not, we have at shot at the low 70s, Sunday; the only limiting factor will be the extent of the cloud cover that will increase throughout the day. Bottom line, we have a dry and beautiful weekend ahead- A nice treat after a cold week!
