Cloudy and cool this afternoon; thanks to the clouds and colder air blowing in, temperatures are holding in the low 50s. In fact, many spots have dropped a couple degrees since noon. For tonight, clearing and cold; Wednesday morning lows fall into the 28 to 32 degree range with sub-freezing temperatures for 3 to 4 hours.
Sunshine returns tomorrow, and combined with a southwest wind, afternoon highs return to the middle 60s, which is near average for late November.
Another shot of cold air arrives late tomorrow night, leading to a chilly Thanksgiving Day; despite a full supply of sunshine, afternoon highs hold in the low 50s and with brisk north breeze.it will feel even colder.
If you are planning to travel over the next several days, keep in mind that a major winter storm will impact the East Coast tonight and Wednesday, producing substantial snowfall from the Appalachians, north to Pennsylvania, New York, and into the New England States. Expect airport delays and hazardous road conditions.
Around here, we stay dry through the weekend. A warming trend begins Friday; we're projecting afternoon highs in the 70s for Sunday and early next week!
